Life and habitat
I reside in the dense, mysterious forests of Central and South America. Picture a place where the moonlight dances through the canopy and the nights are alive with whispering breezes and rustling leaves. That's my home! My protective coloration, a delightful mixture of grey-brown and mottled patterns, makes me nearly invisible as I perch on branches or rest on leaf-strewn forest floors during the day.
By nightfall, I’m a different bird altogether. The jungle becomes my playground as I glide silently under the stars. The cool, calm nights are my time to thrive, and the dense foliage forms the perfect backdrop for my nightly escapades.
Personality and diet
You might say I’m a bit of a night owl—pun intended! My personality is as mysterious as the moonlit nights I adore. I'm quiet and stealthy, but I have a sharp eye for spotting dinner. Insects better watch out, because I’m a master hunter! Moths, beetles, and other critters make up my menu. With pinpoint accuracy, I swoop down and snatch them mid-flight. It’s like being part of an aerial acrobatics show every night!

Living in the wild comes with its fair share of challenges. Natural predators like owls and snakes would love to make a meal out of me if they could spot me!
